Curriculum
The Xavier University Junior High School uses the K to 12 Curriculum. Xavier University Junior High School also focuses on the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm in teaching in learning where reflection and real-world application are given emphasis.
The current K-12 program in the Philippines, which was implemented in 2012, covers kindergarten, six years of primary education, four years of junior high school, and two years of senior high school to prepare graduates for tertiary education, middle-level skills development, employment, and entrepreneurship.
Teaching plan related to major
After observing in class, I need to create a lesson plan for teaching in class. The lesson plan here uses the IPP form format, which is different from that in Thailand. Making my IPP lesson plan has some difficulties, namely having to think of questions to use in the classroom, such as questions to make students understand the objectives, and questions about having students apply knowledge from the mathematics subject, which is used in daily life. I also have to design a teaching format in the lesson plan that is easy to understand, making it easy for students to understand the content.
